This week I wanted to see if I could take a picture with normal lighting and photoshop it to make it look like it was a contrast of light and dark. This is one of the pictures I took last week for my series. I'm thinking about doing black and white portraits, or layered portraits with action, setting, and close up pictures to form photo stories.
The middle image with the car and the merged woman's face is the most intriguing to me. The composition might flow more if you created the diptych in landscape so that the two images would be read from left to right. I trust your process and encourage you to continue experimenting.
ReplyDeleteYou have very, very strong value and contrast. I like what you did with layering and I have to say the best one was the layered one with your mom smiling and at the bottom of the picture driving! But you have really strong contrast and you can completely use it to your advantage.
